19 वर्षीय निशानेबाज अवनि लेखारा ने सोमवार को पैरालंपिक में स्वर्ण पदक जीत इतिहास रच दिया। वह पैरालंपिक में निशानेबाजी में स्वर्ण पदक जीतने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला बन गईं हैं।
उन्होंने सोमवार को असका शूटिंग रेंज में R2 महिलाओं की 10 मीटर एयर राइफल स्टैंडिंग SH1 में शीर्ष पर रही। वो फाइनल की शुरुआत से ही क्षेत्र का नेतृत्व कर रही थी और कुल 249.6 अंकों के साथ विश्व रिकॉर्ड की बराबरी भी की।
