निघत अब्बास के मुहतोड़ जवाब के बीच मुख्यमंत्री ने ट्वीट कर बताया, “कर्नाटक में सभी हाई स्कूल और कॉलेज 3 दिनों के लिए रहेंगे बंद।”
एक समाचार चैनल में इस विवाद पर सवाल पूछे जाने पर निघत जी ने कहा, “किसी भी धर्म का लिबाज़ शैक्षणिक संस्थानों जायज नहीं है
और इसके लिए उन्होंने तीन कारण दिया,
– यह विचलित करेगा
– यह मौलिक समानता को तोड़ देगा
– और इसमें कोई धर्मनिरपेक्षता का कोण नहीं है ।”
क्या मदरसे में किसी भी बच्ची को Skirt या Top पहनके जाने की इजाज़त देंगे मौलवी साहब ??

आगे उन्होंने अपने साथी पैनलिस्ट से सवाल किया की क्या अगर कोई गैर मुस्लिम लड़की किसी मदरसे में मिनी स्कर्ट पहन कर इस्लाम की तालीम लेने जाये तो क्या उसको मौलाना मदरसे में जाने देंगे? और जवाब में उन्होंने कहा की नहीं, वो बोलेंगे की या तो आप सर ढक कर आईये या हिजाब पहन कर आइये या निकाब पहन कर आइये।”
“अगर यह रूल मदरसों में है तो स्कूलों में क्यों नहीं हो सकता जबकि ये तो सदियों से चला आ रहा है”, उन्होंने आगे कहा।
बात को आगे ले जाते हुए उन्होंने कहा की केवल 6 लड़कियां है जो इसके खिलाफ प्रोटेस्ट कर रही हैं बाकी नहीं।
इसके बाद उदहारण देते हुए उन्होंने कहा की, “अगर कल कोई लड़की डिफेन्स में, हॉस्प्टिकल में या किसी अन्य जगह जॉब करती है तो क्या ये आगे नहीं कहेंगी की हम ड्रेस नहीं, बुरखा पहनेंगी?”
कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट ने कहा- हम तर्क से जाएंगे, कानून से, जुनून या भावनाओं से नहीं। संविधान जो कहता है, हम उस पर चलेंगे। संविधान मेरे लिए भगवद गीता है।

इस विवाद के बीच कर्नाटका के मुख्या मंत्री ने बोम्मई ने अगले 3 दिनों के लिए सभी हाई स्कूल और कॉलेज बंद करने का आदेश दे दिया है।

इस पर संसदीय कार्य मंत्री प्रह्लाद जोशी ने कहा कि हर स्कूल का एक ड्रेस कोड होता है और उसका पालन करना चाहिए। कोई भी छात्र राजनीतिक समर्थन के बिना विरोध नहीं कर सकता। राज्य की कानून-व्यवस्था भंग नहीं होनी चाहिए। उन्हें ड्रेस कोड का पालन न करने के लिए कौन प्रेरित कर रहा है?
