भारतीय महिला हॉकी टीम ने सोमवार को तीन बार की चैंपियन ऑस्ट्रेलिया को 1-0 से हराकर इतिहास में अपनी सबसे बड़ी जीत दर्ज की और टोक्यो ओलंपिक में महिला हॉकी में अपने पहले सेमीफाइनल में बनाई जगह।
गुरजीत कौर भारत की हीरो साबित हुईं जब उन्होंने 22 वें मिनट में अपना पहला ओलंपिक गोल करके भारत को टोक्यो खेलों के अंतिम -4 में पहुँचाया जहाँ उनका सामना अर्जेंटीना, नीदरलैंड, न्यूजीलैंड, स्पेन या ग्रेट ब्रिटेन से होगा।
